There is a park each side of Tian'AnMen Gate. ZhongShan Park, on the west side, is perhaps the most interesting.

ZhongShan Park (SunYatSen Park) to the left (west) of Tian'AnMen Gate.

The Workers Cultural Palace Park is on the right (east) side of Tian'AnMen Gate.

Special displays are setup for each National Day week on Tian'AnMen Square, such as these huge fountains in October 2005.
